Does Subaru use transponder keys?

The first Subaru transponder key appeared in 2005 with the Imprezza, Forrester, Legacy and Outback. All other models followed shortly when some adopt a laser cut key.

If the code is not recognized, the fuel-pump is shut down and the vehicle will no ignite.
